The Great Masters Of Painting: Delacroix
One of the most influential figures in the Romantic era of French art in the 19th century, was a painter named Eugene Delacroix. Even though he was recognized by art magazines and certain critics of his time, such as Gautier and Baudelaire, his genius would triumph in the official painting circles years later. His work, which testifies to a great mastery of colors, and a recognizable style featuring dramatic brushstrokes, inspired many great painters, such as Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso.
