Seen from the sky, Burgundy appears as a land of nuances, a landscape of flatlands and vineyards crossed by numerous canals. In the company of a geographer, a connoisseur of the region's contours, we travel along the Saône, passing through Mâcon, Beaune and Dijon. Christophe Voros evokes the history of the Cluniac and Cistercian abbeys, symbols of the Middle Ages. We meet Marc Désarménien, a master mustard maker who is trying to reintroduce the cultivation of this seed, which has been extinct since the 1960s. We also focus on the castles of Burgundy, the hospices de Beaune, the natural and industrial heritage of the region, with the 135 islands of the Loire and the Schneider dynasty in Le Creusot.
