The extended family of French football is gathering during a high-profile party to celebrate the end of the season. Fodé Thiam, the star of Paris’ Racing Club, violently headbutts his coach Pascal Téret in front of the cameras and calls him a “dirty toubab [White Man]”, inciting accusations of racism and angry demands to exclude him from the team. To monitor the crisis, the club’s president François Marens calls on the Kairos Consultancy. One of its staff is talented communicator Sam Berger. She recognizes the risk - a possible civil war in France – but is sidelined like all doomsayers.
