After a police operation goes wrong in Paris, police commander Samuel Kepler-who suffers from dissociative identity disorder-is transferred to Calais. Assigned to desk duty, he tries to rebuild his life with his family. But when the body of Lucie Martel, a high school student, is found on the former Calais jungle site, he is forced back into fieldwork. He must investigate with local officer Alice Haddad, amid tensions surrounding the migrant camp.
