Barbabravo and Barbazoo have changed themselves into horse and jockey and turn up in a horse race. It becomes an exciting race and the commentator screams himself hoarse because who do you think won the race.

Then the beatiful and very romantic Barbabelle attracts our attention where is mentioned that kissing is a wonderful pastime. Even though if Barbapapa gives his wife a smaker, porcupines will prick each other while courting.

Barbazoo brings home a migratory bird which has been wounded by a poacher. The whole family transform themselves into a hospital. Barbapapa appears to be a first class surgeon. Little by little the bird recovers. But when he goes to join his friends to fly south it is clear that they have already departed. Barbazoo will take him.

In the Barbapapa family's vegetable garden everybody is on the go. Barbabravo is responsable for the spraying and closing the gate. But a swimming party with Barbabelle is also not be despised. The next morning the vegetable garden has been turned over. What a pity for Barbabravo and later Barbapapa and Barbamama come to look at the garden.

The Barbapapas are in Japan and their eyes pop out at the "mikoshi-feast". Inspired by a group of Japanese drummers, the Barbapapas change themselves into a orchestra. Barbazoo and Barbalib spy on the wild animals of Africa. And then something terrible happens : all the baby animals are taken prisoners by a crowd of merciless hunters. The whole Barbapapa family dash for help and after giving back again to frantically parents.

As the children at the Barbapapa school are so frisky, there is nothing better than a game of rugby to calm them down. Barbalib teaches the children reading and writing and for this one time, the head of the village school, assisted by the Barbapapa children, comes to give a lesson on arithmetic. Afterwards there is a big school party, where the children are allowed to sell their school-work.

What disappointment when the circus doesn't stop in the Barbapapa village. No need. Together the Barbapapa's themselves give a performance for the children. In the evenings wherein Barbabravo plays the shining role of Knight of Bravostein who slays a merciless dragon. What a spectacle!

It hasn't rained for weeks and the sun has scorched the soil. If something isn't done soon, then all the plants will die of thirst. They decide to make a water dredging machine and for that Barbabeau has to make all the buckets. He begins immediately. By the time he has made a series of pots, the family has changed themselves into a colorful water dredging machine.

Barbalib is going to direct the musical which she herself has written. She is looking for an actor to play leading man. Barbabeau gets chosen for the part after a pleasant audition. To his brothers' annoyance, he acts the big film star, although his sisters think it's wonderful. Durring the performance, where the whole family acting, his leg gets pulled by his jealous brothers.

Barbabright has indulged himself in the magic arts. He invites his whole family to attend, in evening dress, an evening seance at the castle. Barbabright dumbfounds everyone with his fantastic magic tricks… except Barbapapa who has discovered his deception. Now the unsuspecting Barbabright will be taught a lesson.
