As she got chosen to portray the character of a famous singer Barbara, a young actress Brigitte gives her best efforts to rise to the challenge. The actress carefully studies Barbara's character, gestures, manners and intonations, all under the watchful eye the filmmaker, Yves Zand. As the shooting progresses, Brigitte gradually merges with the character, imitating her facial expressions and body language to the point of completely confusing the director.
