Everything seemed to be falling in place for Antoine Carco: he was blessed with a successful business in Paris, an attractive girlfriend... However, a phone call from the far East will change everything. La Pince, one of Antoine's former accomplices, entrusts him with a double mission: to move a little five-year old boy to safety, and to discreetly transport forty million dollars from Hong Kong to Paris. Wanting to get rid of the child, he entrusts him to Father Tarain. Additionally, he takes the opportunity to slip treasury bills into the priest's luggage. Tarain, offended by Antoine's deed, curses him. A guardian angel appears, none other than Antoine's double.
