Natacha (Almost) Air Hostess
France, 1963. Since she was a child, Natacha has dreamed of freedom and adventure. Her dream has a name: air hostess. She admires the women who fly the world, with no ties, no husbands, and no cooking to do. Despite all her efforts Natacha does not match the walking fantasy that an air hostess is supposed to embody at the time. She's too, or not enough, whatever it is, she hasn't got it! So thinks Chief Steward Walter, who has consigned her to the lost luggage desk. Natacha is grounded! Approaching the "advanced" age of 24 and not even married, Natacha jumps at an unexpected chance to work as a hostess on the Paris-New York flight. It feels like a dream come true, but before she can say "Please fasten your seatbelts," Natacha has to deal with a gang of thieves out to steal the Mona Lisa, being flown on loan to New York. Natacha cannot stand by. Natacha's hot pursuit of the thieves, with Walter as her scaredy-cat sidekick, takes her out to sea on the English Channel, to the French Riviera, and to Italy on the trail of a glamorous art forger. And all without catching a plane!
