Pierre Niemans, a true legend of the French police, is investigating the murder of the librarian at the University of Guernon, near Grenoble. In in Sarzac, 300 kilometers away, Lieutenant Max Kerkerian deals with a case of a desecrated grave of a little girl who died in 1982. A series of clues and a new victim lead the two investigators to meet. Could the two cases be linked together?
