Charles Duchemin is a specialist in the culinary art, and the author of the most widely read gastronomic guide in France. He hopes his son, Gerard, to become his worthy heir in the world of gastronomy. However, Gerard has only one passion: the circus. When Duchemin's number one enemy prepares to buy all the listed restaurants father and son team up to counter their opponent. They agree to participate live in a television show but, shortly before it starts, Charles gets affected by an illness which makes him lose his taste.
