The story follows a series of setbacks for each of the four inseparable friends: Etienne is convinced that his wife Martine is having an affair; Simon would like to find a partner, but his possessive mother scares away all the women he finds attractive; Daniel has a spark with an older woman, and Bouly who constantly changes his partners, easily gets attached to their children. Additionally, the group decides to buy a weekend house, but fails miserably with their choice.
